Bobbie replied to Bobbie's discussion Indefinite Military Detention Of US Citizens To Be Signed Into Law By Obama

And, here's another one!!? My senators voted YEA on this bill - both Republican!!? I have written them a letter telling them they have some explaining to do!!!!? You can check at the link below entitled NDAA 2013 to see if your senator signed it.

ARTICLE:

We?ve been trying to keep you aware of what has been taking place with the talks concerning the 2013 version of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). We?ve covered the Feinstein amendment, which effectively did nothing, except to empower Congress to authorize the military at their whim to violate people?s 4th, 5th, and 6th Amendment rights. But now the talks are all done and the legislation is headed for Barack Obama?s desk to be signed into law soon, just as it was nearly one year ago today, including provision to use the military to indefinitely detain US citizens.

Previously, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) voted for the Feinstein amendment to the NDAA. But then there came the hashing out of language in the bill and Paul blasted Senator John McCain (R-AZ) for stripping away the amendment.

?We had protection in this bill. We passed an amendment that specifically said if you were an American citizen or here legally in the country, you would get a trial by jury,? Paul said. ?It?s been removed because they want the ability to hold American citizens without trial in our country. This is so fundamentally wrong and goes against everything we stand for as a country that it can?t go unnoticed.?

The problem with Paul?s assertion is that there was no protection for anyone, whether they are a citizen of the US, a permanent resident or a visitor. Rights that are supposed to be protected under the Constitution be damned! Neither the NDAA, nor the amendment proposed protected one person who is on American Soil.

Paul called the NDAA an ?abomination.? It is that, but so was the Feinstein amendment and even more so because it was deceptive at its core.

The Senate easily passed NDAA 2013 by a vote of 81-14. The next stop is Obama?s desk.

UPDATE: People are asking when the House passed NDAA for fiscal year 2013. The links have been provided. This one comes from the one at the end of the article, ?Obama?s desk.? Here?s the screenshot. They passed it first in May and then the final passage took place one day before the Senate passed it; December 20.

status ndaa

UPDATE: Additionally some have asked for the language in the bill. Here is section 1033, which I provided a link to in the article. You can also read my comments and others on the article I wrote concerning this ... Congress gave their authorization (unconstitutional as it was) last year in Section 1023 of the 2012 NDAA.

SEC. 1033. PROHIBITION ON THE INDEFINITE DETENTION OF CITIZENS AND LAWFUL PERMANENT RESIDENTS.

Section 4001 of title 18, United States Code, is amended?

(1) by redesignating subsection (b) as subsection (c); and

(2) by inserting after subsection (a) the following:

?(b)(1) An authorization to use military force, a declaration of war, or any similar authority shall not authorize the detention without charge or trial of a citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States apprehended in the United States, unless an Act of Congress expressly authorizes such detention.

UPDATE: Ben Swann has just released a video explaining the amendment.

P&C or Health - Actuarial Outpost

Got two offers recently.

One is Predictive modeler in a Big P&C company, the other one is an entry level actuarial analyst position at BCBS (will mainly focus on pricing).

Which position holds better career potential?

How will the upcoming health care reform impact Health insurance business? P&C is a better choice?

Since the predictive modeling is considered as a non-traditional area, will it be tough if I want to switch to traditional pricing or reserving later?

What worked for me is just turning off Google Now. Yeah you lose some functionality, but it doubles your battery life. Google really screwed up with this one. I really don't know who to blame, Google, Samsung, or Verizon. I dont get these wakelocks on my Nexus with the same app, so it might be something to do with what Samsung did with TW. No wakelocks on 4.2 either.

Make sure to hit the button if I helped you out!

Disasterpiece: Majesty

A good soundtrack will add to whatever it's a part of. A great soundtrack will do that and stand on its own. This is one of the latter. "Majesty" is but one of many tracks off the soundtrack for a little game called Fez (which you should play if you own an Xbox 360 and a soul, but that's beside the point) and it stands as a great example of a chill, ambient album that really rocks. NY fire ambush survivors: We're 'humbled'

By NBC News staff and wire reports

Two firefighters who survived an ambush gun attack in Upstate New York that killed two of their colleagues said Thursday they were "humbled and a bit overwhelmed" by well wishes in the wake of the tragedy.

West Webster volunteer firefighters Joseph Hofstetter and Theodore Scardino, who had been in guarded condition, were upgraded to satisfactory condition on Wednesday at Rochester's Strong Memorial Hospital.

As authorities investigated how William Spengler, 62, opened fire on the volunteers responding to a blaze in Webster early Monday,?the hospital released a statement from the survivors.

The pair said their "thoughts and prayers" were with the families of their colleagues Michael Chiapperini, 43, and Tomasz Kaczowka, 19, who were shot dead at the scene.

The pair are "humbled and a bit overwhelmed by the outpouring of well wishes for us and our families," the statement said.?

Spengler, a convicted felon who killed his own grandmother in 1980, shot himself as seven houses burned around him.

'Multiple firemen down'
"We are being shot at," an unidentified voice told a 911 dispatcher in a recording aired Wednesday on NBC's TODAY. "Multiple firemen down. Multiple firemen are shot. I am shot. I think he is using an assault rifle."

Hofstetter and Scardino were shot during the chaos. One was struck by a bullet in the pelvis and the other in the chest and knee,?NBCNewYork.com reported.?

Cops said Spengler left a three-page typewritten note saying he wanted to burn down the neighborhood and "do what I like doing best, killing people."

?He was equipped to go to war, kill innocent people," Webster Police Chief Gerald Pickering told reporters Tuesday.

The?Rochester Democrat and Chronicle said Wednesday?that the funeral for Chiapperini, who was a 20-year veteran of the Webster Police Department, will be Sunday, while a funeral Mass for Kaczowka, who graduated from high school last year, will be held in Rochester at 10 a.m. ET Monday.

Spengler had lived in the house with his sister and his mother, Arline, who died in October at 91. Arline Spengler's obituary asked that memorial donations be made to the West Webster Fireman's Association.

Watch US News crime videos on NBCNews.com

A former neighbor told the Associated Press that Spengler "loved his mama to death" and that he "couldn't stand" his sister. The neighbor said he thought Spengler "went crazy" after his mother died.

Spengler was convicted of manslaughter in 1981 after the death of his grandmother, Rose Spengler, 92, and was paroled in 1998. He remained under parole supervision until 2006, the Democrat and Chronicle reported. Before Monday's shooting, Webster police hadn't had any run-ins with Spengler since he was paroled, they said.

Police investigating the killings said Tuesday that they had found what appeared to be human remains at the gunman's home. Authorities said they believed the remains were those of Spengler?s 67-year-old sister, Cheryl, who lived with him.

Although Spengler couldn't legally own firearms as a convicted felon, police said he was armed with a Smith & Wesson .38-caliber revolver, a 12-gauge pump shotgun and a Bushmaster .223-caliber rifle, the same kind used in the Newtown, Conn., school massacre earlier this month.

At least 33 people were displaced by the fire, which engulfed at least seven homes and a motor vehicle.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

CAIRO (AP) ? Egypt's chief prosecutor ordered an investigation on Thursday into allegations that opposition leaders committed treason by inciting supporters to overthrow Islamist President Mohammed Morsi.

The probe by a Morsi-appointed prosecutor was launched a day after the president called for a dialogue with the opposition to heal rifts opened in the bitter fight over an Islamist-drafted constitution just approved in a referendum. The opposition decried the investigation as a throwback to Hosni Mubarak's regime, when the law was used to smear and silence opponents.

The probe was almost certain to sour the already tense political atmosphere in the country.

The allegations were made initially in a complaint by at least two lawyers sent to the chief prosecutor earlier this month. They targeted opposition leaders Mohammed ElBaradei, a Nobel Peace laureate and former head of the U.N. nuclear agency, former Foreign Minister Amr Moussa, and Hamdeen Sabahi. Both Moussa and Sabahi were presidential candidates who competed against Morsi in the last election.

There was no immediate comment by any of the three opposition leaders named but the opposition dismissed the allegations.

Emad Abu Ghazi, secretary-general of the opposition party ElBaradei heads, said the investigation was "an indication of a tendency toward a police state and the attempt to eliminate political opponents." He said the ousted Mubarak regime dealt with the opposition in the same way.

Mubarak jailed his opponents, including liberals and Islamists. International rights groups said their trials did not meet basic standards of fairness.

ElBaradei was a leading figure behind the uprising against Mubarak and at one point, he was allied with the Brotherhood against the old regime.

The investigation does not necessarily mean charges will be filed against the leaders. But it is unusual for state prosecutors to investigate such broad charges against high-profile figures.

Morsi, Egypt's first democratically elected president, asked the opposition on Wednesday to join a national dialogue to heal rifts and move on after a month of huge street protests against him and the constitution drafted by his allies.

Some of the protests erupted into deadly violence. On Dec. 5, anti-Morsi demonstrators staging a sit-in outside the presidential palace in Cairo were attacked by Morsi supporters. Fierce clashes ensued that left 10 people dead.

The wave of protests began after Morsi's Nov. 22 decrees that gave him and the assembly writing the constitution immunity from judicial oversight. That allowed his Islamist allies on the assembly to hurriedly rush through the charter before an expected court ruling dissolving the panel.

After the decrees, the opposition accused Morsi of amassing too much power in his hands. They said the constitution was drafted without the participation of liberal, minority Christian and women members of the assembly, who walked out in protest at the last minute.

Even though the constitution passed in a referendum, the opposition has vowed to keep fighting it. They say it enshrines Islamic law in Egypt, undermines rights of minorities and women, and restricts freedoms.

Morsi and Brotherhood officials accused the opposition of working to undermine the president's legitimacy, and accused former regime officials of working to topple him.

Although he reached out to the opposition for reconciliation, Morsi did not offer any concessions in his speech Wednesday calling for a dialogue.

On Wednesday Morsi asked his prime minister to carry out a limited reshuffle of his government, without offering the opposition any seats.

In an apparent protest against the decision to keep the same prime minister, the minister of parliamentary affairs resigned. A member of his Islamist party said Prime Minister Hesham Kandil has not lived up to the challenges of the previous period, and a stronger, more political prime minister should be nominated.

This is the second resignation of a Cabinet minister this week and follows a spate of resignations of senior aides and advisers during the constitutional crisis.

Details of the complaint filed by the two lawyers were carried on the website of Morsi's Muslim Brotherhood, the Islamic fundamentalist group that has become Egypt's most powerful political faction since the 2011 uprising.

The report said their complaint alleged that the opposition leaders were "duping simple Egyptians to rise against legitimacy and were inciting against the president," which constitutes treason.

Yara Khalaf, a spokeswoman for Moussa, said there were no official charges and he had not been summoned for investigation. But she declined to comment on the accusations.

Heba Yassin, a spokesman for the Popular Current headed by Sabahi, said Sabahi faced similar charges under Mubarak and his predecessor. She dismissed them as fabrications and an attempt to smear his reputation and silence the opposition.

"Morsi is confirming that he is following the same policies of Mubarak in repressing his opponents and trying to smear their reputation through false accusations," Yassin said.

"Also this is evidence of what we had warned about ? the judiciary and the prosecutor-general must be independent and not appointed by the president," she said. "He is a Morsi appointee and this is where his loyalty lies and he is now implementing orders to eliminate the opposition."

The chief prosecutor, Talaat Abdullah, was appointed by Morsi at the height of the political tension over the constitution. He could not be immediately reached for comment.

Morsi's Nov. 22 presidential decrees appointed Abdullah to replace the chief prosecutor who was a holdover from the Mubarak regime. The judiciary protested the move, seeing it as trampling of its authority to choose the chief prosecutor.

The Supreme Judicial Council, the country's highest judicial authority, asked Abdullah to step down Wednesday because he was appointed by the president.

Human Rights lawyer Bahy Eddin Hassan said the fact that the chief prosecutor has asked for an investigation meant he is taking the accusations by the lawyers seriously.

Abdullah asked a judge to conduct the investigation, the state news agency reported.

Hassan said this was an attempt to show that the investigation is independent. However the judiciary, like the rest of the country, is divided between supporters and opponents of Morsi and the Brotherhood.

"This is the beginning of a series of events where the judiciary will be used to settle political scores with opponents," Hassan said. "This is not a new policy. But it is new that a regime that is just starting out uses such tools."

With an economic crisis and unpopular austerity measures looming in Egypt, Hassan said: "The regime wants to keep the opposition busy with its legal battles."

23 Dec

I installed some speed reading apps and tested them. I?ve so far notices a few ?categories? or groups of equals:

  • One kind exists mostly from showing a text word by word in the middle of the screen. Showing each word a very short time and so you can read at a high wpm because you never need to move your eyes.
  • Another kind is merely a speed reading article disguised as app.
  • Another kind is no speed reading app but just a reading app with a fancy name.
  • Yet another kind is training in the form of news/actually.
  • And the last kind is a training app, not for your own stuff but purely for training.

I only tested them quickly and unions talked the non-interesting. But they aren?t quite what I?m looking for. Maybe I should write one myself for training and guided reading.

Goal Setting VS Time | Self Improvement Secrets

When we set a goal, we also set a time to achieve the goal. There can be different types of goals, namely, daily, monthly, yearly and lifetime goals.

Many people only set a lifetime goal. They simply do not know that to achieve the lifetime goal, it is essential to succeed in the daily, monthly or yearly goals.

These small goals pave the way to a lifetime success.

You can dream to reach the sun or set it as a goal, but this is not possible in reality. Therefore, only dream of the goal that is possible to attain. Then, break down your achievement goal into small action goals to shoot for the stars.

From LEDs to touchscreens: How technology is changing ...

Tesla Model S sedan

When it comes to the way a car looks, what's under the skin can be just as important as the skin itself.

We expect a lot from our cars. We expect them to protect us and the planet, all while performing the tasks of everyday life for years and hundreds of thousands of miles. However, we don?t notice a car?s safety features, fuel economy, or reliability until after we see what it looks like.

Automotive styling has always been a matter of taste, but like the more objective categories of automotive excellence, it changes with times and technology. Advancements in aerodynamics and materials, safety regulations, and the ever-increasing amount of tech we expect in cars is changing the way they look.

2012-bmw-6-series-gran-coupe-passenger-side-profileForm and function

In the beginning, automotive stylists essentially had free reign. Cars came as bare, ladder-frame chassis prepped for separate bodies constructed like horse-drawn carriages. Things are very different now.

The modern unibody (an integrated chassis and body) means the general shape of a car is often determined by the engineers, not the stylists. Concerns over aerodynamic efficiency and safety also limit what can be done to a car?s shape. Pointy tail fins and thin A-pillars are out.

That hasn?t stopped designers from penning good looking cars; gorgeous lines can be found on everything from the Aston Martin Vanquish to the Kia Optima. However, these impressive machines are more than just pretty faces.

New cars come with a lot of cameras: rearview cameras are a popular option, and Subaru uses a forward-facing camera for its EyeSight automatic braking system. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is planning to make rearview cameras mandatory on new cars, possibly by the 2015 model year.

It might seem like the NHTSA is making back windows redundant, but that?s because they?ve been shrinking in the name of safety and style. Thicker pillars and side surfaces are becoming necessary to pass crash tests, so the area available for glass is shrinking. In addition, raising the hood for pedestrian safety requires designers to raise the belt line (where a car?s windows meet the doors).

Raising the roof (line) would make an already bloated car look pretty dorky, but doing the opposite makes for a very sexy ride. Just compare the BMW 5 Series with the 6 Series Gran Coupe: they?re essentially the same car underneath and are differentiated only by styling. Or compare the staid Honda Accord with the streamlined Hyundai Sonata. With rearview cameras available, designers don?t have to worry as much about creating blind spots with those low rooflines.

Alternative powertrains also hold the possibility of exciting new shapes. Almost 10 years ago, General Motors built the Autonomy and Hy-Wire hydrogen fuel cell concepts. They had a ?skateboard? chassis that contained the fuel cells and electric motors, and had drive-by-wire controls. That meant, theoretically, that designers could draw any shape they wanted and bodies could be interchangeable.

Today, we don?t have hydrogen cars, but at least one battery-electric car is applying the same principles. The Tesla Model S has its batteries in the floor, and its electric motor tucked between the rear wheels. That means what looks like a curvaceous ?four door coupe? is actually quite roomy, with rear-facing jump seats for kids and a large front trunk for luggage. It also has an incredibly low 0.24 coefficient of drag.

2011 Audi A8 European spec front viewSignature style

However, the electric car presents automotive designers with a problem. Since before automotive styling existed, the radiator grille has been most car companies? trademark. BMW?s twin kidney and Dodge?s crosshair are synonymous with their brands, and Lexus hopes its new spindle grille will be someday too. At the very least, the grille is the best place to put a badge.

The problem is this: electric cars don?t have radiators, so they don?t need grilles. In fact, having a hole in the front of the car can be a disadvantage in cars that need to be as aerodynamic as possible to maximize range.

The fish-faced Nissan Leaf is a good example. Instead of a grille, there?s a charging port behind the Nissan badge on the front end. The Honda Fit lost its black mesh grille when it was converted to an EV, while the Chevrolet Volt has a large, nonfunctional, grille that exists purely as a styling element.

The grille may outlive the internal combustion engine, but there is another possibility. Audi received a lot of criticism when it introduced its current shield-shaped grille, but most of that criticism subsided when designers added LED ?eyelash? driving lights.

Now, even the lowly Nissan Sentra has a strip of LEDs running through its headlights. That?s because LEDs can be arranged in different shapes, creating a distinct presence when the sun goes down. One example: the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class ditches the 2013 model?s quad headlights for two, but the outline of the old four-eyes look can be seen in the lighting elements.

Interior: Domain of the touch screen

?Count the number of buttons in your car. Now, count the number of buttons on your tablet,? Cadillac tells viewers in a commercial for its Cadillac User Experience (CUE) infotainment system. If alternative powertrains are changing the shape of cars, connectivity is changing the layout of their interiors.

It?s hard not to notice the screens that have sprouted from dashboards. Some are just for showing GPS-generated maps, while others are touch screens that actually control functions like audio, settings for adjustable suspensions, and climate control. Phone connectivity is also a must for the tech-obsessed, because it allows them to use their phones while driving or play their music libraries through the stereo.

So far, no one has come up with a particularly elegant way to integrate all of these functions. Every carmaker uses a combination of buttons, voice controls, and touch screens, with the occasional click wheel thrown in (see BMW iDrive). However, the buttons are either too numerous, or the alternatives too complex.

That brings us back to Cadillac: Why not just make a dashboard that looks like a tablet? CUE and other systems look like giant tablets, but this is a case of form beating function; most infotainment systems take some practice to learn, since users can?t rely on muscle memory like they do with analog controls.

Still, eager to attract tech-savvy buyers, car interior designers are increasingly looking to smartphones and tablets for inspiration. The Tesla Model S? interior sports a 17-inch touch screen and virtually nothing else, while cars like the Chevy Volt feature center stacks trimmed in white or piano black plastic to make them look like Apple?s best.

The phrase ?form over function? is usually associated with car exteriors, but it?s becoming increasingly relevant to interiors. A slick, button-less cockpit like the Model S? reminds potential buyers of their favorite devices, but it may not be the most effective way to do the job.

Does it look good?

For better or worse, technology is having a major affect on automotive styling. Whether it?s the push of safety equipment or the pull of alternative powertrains and their flexible packaging, interior ergonomics or flashy displays, the tech underneath the skin is defining its shape. On top of all that, car designers still have to make sure their creations are pleasing to the eye.

A Packers-Broncos Super Bowl?

Tennessee Titans v Green Bay PackersGetty Images

With 11 NFL games played simultaneously early Sunday afternoon, there were half a dozen big ones with playoff implications. The Vikings pounded the Texans. The Bengals snatched the final AFC playoff spot away from the Steelers. The Redskins held on to beat the Eagles. The Cowboys lost a thriller to the Saints. The Colts clinched a return to the playoffs in Kansas City. The Patriots struggled to put away the pesky Jaguars.

Those were all good games, so you can be forgiven if you overlooked the Packers? 55-7 blowout of the Titans, a snoozer that was over a few minutes after it began. But for my money, the Packers made a stronger statement about their status as a Super Bowl contender than any of the teams in those other games I mentioned.

Yes, the Titans are a bad team, but even against the bad teams, you can be impressed with the way a good team plays. And I have to be impressed when I see Aaron Rodgers go 27-for-38 for 342 yards, with three touchdowns and no interceptions. I have to be impressed when I see three wide receivers ? James Jones, Randall Cobb and Greg Jennings ? all catch touchdown passes, while tight end Jermichael Finley had his best game of the season, with 70 receiving yards. I have to be impressed when running back Ryan Grant, last year?s starter who just re-signed in Green Bay three weeks ago, gained 80 yards and scored two touchdowns.

But we already knew the Packers would be fine on offense, as long as Rodgers is around. Even more importantly, I was impressed with a Green Bay defense that saw six different players ? A.J. Hawk, Brad Jones, Clay Matthews, Mike Neal, Dezman Moses and Sam Shields ? sack Titans quarterback Jake Locker. And I was even impressed by the special teams ? which had been the biggest weakness of the Packers this season ? stepping up on Sunday. Jeremy Ross had a 58-yard punt return, while Mason Crosby finally settled down and made both of his field goal attempts, although his 48-yarder bounced off the upright before falling through.

Does all that add up to the Packers being the best team in the NFL right now? I don?t know. If I had to pick a best team right now I?d probably go with Seattle, which pounded San Francisco on Sunday night for its third straight blowout win. But I?m not sure how relevant the title of ?best team? is at this time of year. We often see that the universally recognized best team in the league in late December isn?t still standing in early February ? as the Packers found out the hard way last year.

What I do think that is that if I were a fan of a playoff team, the Packers ? who have now won four straight and nine of their last 10 ? are the team I?d least want to be playing when the postseason starts. This Green Bay team is really, really good, and remember: If we have a rematch of that Seahawks-Packers ?Fail Mary? replacement ref debacle in the postseason, the rematch will most likely be at Lambeau Field. A Seahawks-Packers playoff rematch would be a matchup of the two NFC teams that are playing their best football right now, and in Green Bay, I?d pick the Packers.

That 55-7 Packers score was what really made me sit up and take notice on Sunday. Here are the other items that caught my eye:

The NFL?s schedule makers dropped the ball with Sunday afternoon?s slate. Putting 11 games in the 1 o?clock kickoff slot and only three games in the 4 o?clock kickoff slot is a dumb way to divide up the afternoon games. With a bunch of good games in the early window, it was hard to follow all the action. And with three lousy games in the late window, the end of the day felt like a letdown.

Jamaal Charles tops Jim Brown. Charles didn?t just rush for 226 yards in the Chiefs? loss to the Colts. He also broke Jim Brown?s half-century old record for the highest career yards per carry average for a running back. In the official NFL Record and Fact Book, a player needs 750 career carries to qualify for the all-time record, and among running backs, Jim Brown?s career average of 5.22 yards per carry has always been the gold standard. But on Sunday, Charles got his 750th career carry and jumped ahead of Brown in the record book. Charles now has 770 career carries for 4,483 yards, an incredible career average of 5.82 yards a carry. Any time a running back tops Jim Brown, he has done something special. To top Jim Brown?s longstanding record average by more than half a yard per carry is stunning.

Janoris Jenkins has had a remarkable rookie season. Jenkins entered this year?s NFL draft widely regarded as one of the most talented players available, but also as an off-field problem child who could turn out to be more trouble than he?s worth. Well, the Rams drafted Jenkins in the second round, and he has had some off-field trouble ? Rams coach Jeff Fisher benched him for one game for missing curfew ? but no one could possibly argue that Jenkins is more trouble than he?s worth anymore. Jenkins has been a fantastic cornerback on an improving St. Louis defense, and on Sunday he scored his fourth defensive touchdown of the season. Do you know how hard that is to do? Deion Sanders is the best defensive player I ever saw at making plays after turnovers, and even Deion never scored four defensive touchdowns in a season. Jenkins is one of only three players in NFL history to have three interception returns for a touchdown in his rookie season, and the other two ? Lem Barney and Ronnie Lott ? are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. If Jenkins can steer clear of off-field trouble, then Fisher is going to look back on drafting Jenkins as the single most important decision he made in his first year as the Rams? coach.

Blair Walsh has had a remarkable rookie season, too. Never before in NFL history had anyone kicked more than eight 50-yard field goals in a season. Walsh, Minnesota?s rookie kicker, booted his ninth field goal of 50 yards or longer when he connected from 56 yards against the Texans on Sunday. Everyone knows the Vikings are playoff contenders because they have the NFL?s best running back in Adrian Peterson. But don?t overlook the importance of having the NFL?s best kicker in Walsh.

The Broncos are doing it at the right time. We that the six AFC playoff teams will be the Texans, Broncos, Patriots, Ravens, Colts and Bengals. But the only one of those six teams that really looks like it?s playing its best football late in the season is Denver. The Texans got pushed around by the Vikings on Sunday, the Patriots followed a loss to the 49ers last week with an ugly win over the Jaguars this week, the Ravens played well on Sunday but have struggled through most of the last month, and the Bengals and Colts barely squeaked by in their wild-card clinching wins on Sunday. I see big question marks about those five AFC playoff teams, but no major questions about the Broncos, who played great offense and great defense in pounding the Browns on Sunday. How does Peyton Manning leading the Broncos to the Super Bowl against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers sound?

Netflix Crippled On Christmas Eve By AWS Outages

netflix_logo'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even those in the lighthearted holiday fare you were planning to watch on Netflix, which has been down since 1pm PST for some customers. Netflix confirmed the outage with a tweet on its official channel, though Netflix Cloud Architect Adrian Cockcroft said on Twitter that the service is still working on some devices.

In the Name of Healing, Love and Authentic Relationships | Fulfilled ...

Soooooo??.in our last promenade together through LOVE Consciousness, we were talk?n about the question of ?how much is too much ?harm?, what level of ?imbalance? within our relationship with another is ?too much??

How far away from our expressed and experienced authenticity as beings of love?s light is ?too far?, even if intention and purpose is healing based?

In journeying with many Earth Angels [clients] over the last 2 decades as well as experiencing my own life story, I can say there is NO ONE RIGHT Answer??and yet??there IS?.
hee hee ;)

It IS an answer of INDIVIDUAL CHOICE, preparedness, Balance, Intention and Manifest ACTion/results.

EveryONE we come into contact with has a lesson/opportunity for growth for us??some opportunities are laden in faerie dust sprinkles of LOVE whilst others the hot air of a serpent?s tongue.

Any we encounter, if they come our way, come our way with purpose?..which again, may simply BE the CHOICE to say, this is NOT how I choose to learn today, and walk away.

This choice IS that to which our question for pondering relates and??.what I have found IS that:
**Keeping in mind we are NOT, N-O-T- talk?n about overtly abusive relationships here??on any scale- mental, physical, spiritual?..intentional, conscious or otherwise?.. from the get go let it BE known, if there IS any overtly abusive BEhaviour, especially consistent, the lesson IS to WALK AWAY.

The union of yOUR 2 souls IS one that teaches through destruction not construction??and I guess that really IS the focal point??.

If YOU are in a relationship that IS more destructive than constructive, that IS teaching by bashing instead of blissing ? find another school room/relationship within which to learn?..there are 7 billion of us??..7 billion different class rooms?.find a brighter one.***

K, back to our ?day to day relationships? ;) hee hee
la la la la LOVE***

1. Each party involved must BE walking Consciously Aware, therefore able to stand in the response ability of their actions??admit to their ability to make choices in how they respond to you, to life in general, and??.to own the choices they make?good, bad, beayoutyfull and ugly.

2. Each party involved must BE dedicated to facing their choices and where necessary DOing what IS necessary to heal//love where ever their experiences have shown IS so requiring.

We use ONE another [authentically, not in a gross way] to see where we are LOVE and where we are fear??., where in our past we have lost sight of SELF LOVE and where we have mastered it simply in BEing who we are?..how we are?.in LIFE?.

Hence the popularity of the ?mirror image? clich?s and statements such as ?you are my reflection? ? we see in how others respond to us, how we are being received by another, as well as learning about self from our responses to another, and where those responses are initiated from ? what past experience may be inspired into the present by associative conditioning.

3. Progress must BE seen, experienced, felt, shared.

4. Progress must BE enough on each side to show, feel, BE in an expanded state of LOVE Consciousness- in other words you should be moving towards being more of the i in we you love yourself to be, being in this relationships as opposed ot the opposite. ?Keeping in mind?..now here it may get a little tricky?..that as you journey CONSCIOUSLY along with ONE, you will go deeper and deeper into the deepest rooted fears that YOU have withIN [as well as the love....] ? in other words, that which surfaces in the BEginning will pale in comparison to that which IS shown later on??.HOWEVER?.if YOU have BEen consciously journeying all along, then that which shows later on, however ?greater? in intensity it may BE, should BE much more easily journeyed through?..as greater depths of love should also BE surfacing.

Blissings for Authentic Reltaionships based withIN ever expanding LOVE Consciousness for ALL of WE, ALL~ways.***

Microwave Popcorn in a Bowl and Plate to Reduce Unpopped Kernals

Microwave Popcorn in a Bowl and Plate to Reduce Unpopped KernalsWe've showed you how to make DIY microwave popcorn using a brown paper bag, but you can get just as many rogue unpopped kernals as you can with the commercial product. Household weblog One Good Thing by Jillee recommends making popcorn in a bowl covered with a plate so that it is easy to remove popped kernals and run unpopped kernals through the microwave again.

The key here is to make sure both the bowl and plate are microwave safe. This is not only in consideration of the bowl, but in Jillee's first test batch using a non-microwave safe caused the popcorn to not pop. Try adding one-quarter cup of popcorn kernals for two minutes and forty-five seconds. I like this method because you can buy cheap bulk popcorn, you can precisely control the amount of salt and oil you add, and it results in very few unpopped kernals. I'll update after my next batch of popcorn to see if it works better using the heat water first method.
