Microsoft: 100 million copies sold of Windows 8, Windows Store surpasses 60,000 apps

Microsoft today announced two major milestones regarding Windows. The first is that the company has sold 100 million licenses of its newest OS, Windows 8, to the public. Microsoft revealed back in January of this year that Windows 8 sales were at 60 million copies.?It's unclear exactly how many of these licenses are new computers being shipped with Windows 8, or are upgrades from previous versions of Windows.?In addition, the Windows Store that launched alongside Windows 8 has surpassed 60,000 apps available for download by users. Customers have downloaded over 250 million apps.
