Florida (#5) is the single SEC team in this week's AP Top 25 poll. One SEC team dropped out of the poll this week. Kentucky had been ranked #25. Florida moves up two spots in the poll following a week that began with a win at home over then-25th ranked Kentucky, 69-52. After that came another win at Auburn, 83-52. Kentucky drops out of the poll after consecutive losses to Tennessee, 88-58 and then-7th ranked Florida. Indiana remains number one for the second straight week. Virginia Commonwealth breaks into the Top 25 at #24 with a win at home over Massachusetts, 86-68 and a win at home over George Washington, 84-57. Kansas is a big mover this week to #9 after an upset win at home over then-10th ranked Kansas State, 83-62 and a win at home over Texas, 73-47. Ohio State tanked five spots to #18 after a win against Northwestern, 69-59 and a loss to then-20th ranked Wisconsin, 71-49. Michigan State jumped up 4 spots to #4 after wins against Nebraska, 73-64 and then-4th ranked Michigan, 75-52.
