iPhone 5 jailbreak coming soon?

With the new version of iOS, Apple made it tougher for hackers to jailbreak their way into the iPhone. That, however, doesn?t mean you won?t be able to get full access to your shiny smartphone, it?s just that you?ll have to wait for few more weeks or months.

What we have here is the first shot of a jailbroken iPhone 5. Prominent Chronic Dev hacker planetbeing pictured his own device in this ?condition? saying that the day is near, though at current stage, the code is ?not releasable.? However, the foundation of the jailbreak has been laid, ?but its structural integrity needs to be ensured before a release.?

?I would characterize it more as finding the missing pieces rather than debugging at this stage. Typically the messiest part of the jailbreak process has been installing it in the first place,? planetbeing added.

Release timeframe wasn?t confirmed, but since previous iPhone jailbreaks have been launched around December, we hope that will happen this year, as well?

The idea of accessing and managing your information from any device no matter where you are simply amazes him. Whether it's an online to-do list, note taking service or a video sharing social network, he's there to try it out. He admits though, he's still searching for the ultimate web-based organizational tool, which "sings" perfectly with the mobile PIM application. Dusan used to run SymbianWatch.com which later became part of IntoMobile. He lives in Serbia, South-East Europe, from where he edits the site on a daily basis.
