Despite our outward bravado, most men are lacking in confidence in at least some situations we encounter. But to maintain outward appearances, we need to be able to switch this round almost at will if we?re not to be perceived as some quivering wimp. Take a look at these easy to use confidence boosters for men and see how fast you can boost your confidence and self esteem.
List your strong points
Take a quiet few minutes in front of your computer screen, open up your word processor and start tapping away.
Keep it bullet point style rather than an essay.
You may even find this easier in a spreadsheet program like Excel as you can then sort things quickly at a later stage.
Give each of your strong points a score and go to the highest scoring items to remind yourself when you need a quick confidence boost. There?s nothing quite like having a short day dream about when you did such and such to help you re-live the moment and get back to the zone you were in at the time.
Sort out some uplifting music
Then put it on your MP3 player.
Music can change our mood faster than almost anything else around.
So banish those dark, dreary tracks that would make a Goth think twice before they listened to them and play yourself something nice and upbeat to change your mood. Lots of beats per minute won?t go amiss in your choice here and so long as your headphones aren?t turned up too loud you won?t alert others around you to what you?re doing.
Dress smarter

If you?re dressed scruffily and look as though you?ve been dragged backwards through that proverbial hedge, you won?t feel good about yourself.
So take the time to put on some less-scruffy clothes. Maybe even ones that have seen an iron in living memory.
Spend a few minutes tweaking your appearance (without becoming Narcissus of course) and see how much better you feel.
Look upwards
As any awkward teenager will show you, it?s way too easy to feel low if you?re looking downwards.
Lift your head up and notice how that simple act changes your mood and your confidence levels along with it.
Be open
Sometimes our confidence levels get dented if we?re expecting too much.
That doesn?t mean you should lower your standards. Instead it means you should try to get yourself to a place where you?re happy whatever the outcome.
That?s not always easy, especially if your confidence around women is less than stellar and you feel like you?re being rejected all the time, but it?s well worth aiming for.
The absolute ideal is where you?re happy regardless of the outcome. When you can get to this blissful place more often you?ll experience a whole new world out there!
Smile more
Smiling is infectious.
So instead of going round spreading doom, gloom and despondency, smile a bit more often.
Sure, it will look forced at first. Especially if you?ve been grimacing for years. But you?ll soon find that it starts working ? other people will smile back and often that?s all you need to boost your ego and confidence.
