?The page exists as a forum to see and share historic memorabilia collectables from our glorious history. We know there are fantastic items out there in private collections that rarely get seen by anybody except the collector. The page is a place to share pictures of your collection with others who enjoy these things. It started last November (2012) really out of a hunch that there were other collectors out there who were into the same sort of things we were. We wanted to create a friendly forum where collectors could share pictures of their collections and enjoy their historical context and also for fellow red collectors to see and enjoy too. The response has been really encouraging. We have had some really great contributions from collectors who ?have opened up their collections. At the time of writing we have over 1000 page followers and contributors.
The contributions fall into two loose categories:
1. Actual Museum quality items.?
2. Very ordinary items but with a story from the contributor that explains their personal significance.?
We have a couple of policies on the page that hopefully maintain our standards.?
We always credit the collector who has supplied the pictures unless they want to remain anonymous.?
We are not interested in just Googling images of say a players medals and posting them, they have to be someones collection.?
We are not interested in selling anything or helping others sell stuff.
By treating the contributors with respect we hope to maintain a welcoming place for others to share their items. If you are a collector or have an interest in historic ephemera and memorabilia please get in touch. Please give the page a like to ensure you recieve our updates.
